H Foster Awarded EcoVadis Gold Status

Have you ever wondered how companies are evaluated for their commitment to sustainability? Enter EcoVadis.

Back in 2023, H Foster was awarded a Gold Medal by EcoVadis, the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, with a global network of more than 125,000 rated companies. Here’s what it means for us.

The EcoVadis score is a numerical representation (ranging from 0 to 100) that measures the quality of a company's sustainability management system. During assessment, companies are scored on the following themes: environment, ethics, labour & human rights, and sustainable procurement.

Once a company undergoes the EcoVadis assessment and showcases a robust management system addressing key sustainability criteria, they have the chance to earn EcoVadis Medals (and now badges as introduced in 2024). These accolades serve as a stamp of approval, recognising businesses that are making strides in the realm of sustainability.

Platinum - Top 1% (overall score between 78 and 100)

Gold - Top 5% (overall score between 70 and 77)

Silver - Top 25% (overall score between 59 and 69)

Bronze - Top 50% (overall score between 50 and 58)

The eligibility criteria are subject to periodic review, ensuring that only the most deserving companies receive these certifications. So, when you spot a company proudly displaying an EcoVadis Medal or Badge, you can be confident that they've not only undergone a rigorous assessment but have also demonstrated a commitment to sustainable practices that goes above and beyond.
