6290 Berry Wax KAHL Speciality Waxes

6290 Berry KahlWax is a low-melting, soft wax with a velvet, powdery skin feel and is derived from berry fruit peels of Rhus Verniciflua. It is an outstanding pay-off enhancer for stick and pencil preparations and gives O/W emulsions a mousse-like, whipped cream texture.

Because a significant part of this wax melts at temperatures below 30 °C, Berry Wax has a very silky and soft skin feel, comparable to a classic emollient. Additionally, it’s an excellent additive for oleogels, is suitable for lip gloss formulations and mascaras and works as an outstanding pay-off enhancer in lip products and pencils. Berry Wax also produces very soft textures and significantly improves the sensory characteristics of O/W emulsions. Although it’s soft, it can also enhance and stabilise structures of other crystallising materials and improve break resistance in stick preparations. 

KahlWax 6290 Berry is very versatile and improves the sensory properties of cosmetic formulations. In O/W emulsions, it leads to super soft, smooth and silky skin feel and creates creamy textures even at low levels. It makes creams whiter and reduces the droplet size which has a positive influence on stability.
